The HLHK SEALs competed in the 2018 Georgia Age Group State Championships over the President’s Day weekend.  Twelve swimmers qualified to compete in this year’s championships including, Soliyana Amsalu, Egon Brown, Jaida Cox, Miles Gibbs, Nasir Harrison, Pilar King, Princeton King, Khalil Morris, Jayla Thompson, Trinity Zackary, Atlanta Griffin and Nicole Griffin II.  With ten of the twelve swimmers competing, the team placed 2nd in the small team division and 11th overall.  The HLHK SEALs performed exceptionally well this year, continuing its tradition of well trained, highly skilled and super competitive swimmers.

The highlight of the meet was Trinity Zackary who came home as the 10-Under Highpoint Winner!  Trinity competed in11 events, winning gold in 6, including 500 Free, 200 IM, 100 Free and 100 Back.  Trinity also assisted her relay teammates, Pilar King, Nicole Griffin II and Jaida Cox, in winning bronze in the 200 Freestyle Relay.  Teammate Jayla Thompson also medaled bronze in the 50 Back.

HLHK is a 501c3 nonprofit organization geared toward fighting childhood obesity. With programs in swimming, basketball and soccer, HLHK encourages kids and families to stay active.  Coaches Jabari King (founder and executive director) and Brandon Little are both former competitive swimmers and are paying if forward in a major way with this swim club.
