HLHK: USA SWIMMING COMPETITIVE LEAGUE

HLHK SEALs Team: SEALs consist of swimmers who have the ability, desire and commitment to continue and develop their competitive swimming career with HLHK. This program is tailored for swimmers who have dedicated themselves to the sport of swimming, and are capable of consistently performing difficult training sets in practice, working towards becoming State finalists and Sectionals qualifiers.

Workouts are challenging and designed to help athletes qualify for the State and Sectional meet. In addition, many members of the SEALs swim concurrently with their middle and high school swim teams.

Principles of a HLHK Seal

  • SPIRIT: Maintain a positive attitude and give your best! Being a SEAL is a privilege.
  • COMMITMENT: Being a SEAL is a lifestyle. Commitment is required to help our athletes achieve their goals.
  • DEVELOPMENT: The Seals team is for the development of children athletes as a whole. The things we teach are also skills that they will be able to apply to be successful in life.
  • FUN: Work hard & have FUN doing it!
  • INTERGRITY & TRUST: We have a passionate group of coaches that believe that swimming is a vehicle for building great character. We encourage our swimmers to support their teammates and strive for excellence in and out of the water.
  • COMMUNICATION: Communication is a 2-way street… We are expected to keep you in the loop, and we expect for you to be engaged.
  • COMPETITION: Competition is inherent in the sport and necessary for improvement. We want our athletes to have a healthy attitude towards competing.
  • THE PROCESS: We understand the importance of laying a strong foundation for each athletes’ development. The process is never ending and ever evolving; we aim to teach our swimmers and parents to trust the process and enjoy the journey.
